Hapag-Lloyd announced that a General Rate Increase (GRI) will be implemented for all cargo in dry and reefer containers from the South America East Coast to North America, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean starting 1 August 2024.
This increase will be US$500 per container and will remain in effect until further notice.
Furthermore, the German box line announced additional ocean tariff rates for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and Arabian Gulf to South Europe and North Africa.
This rate increase will apply to sailings commencing on or after 15 July 2024 and will remain in effect until 31 July 2024
